Log Entries 1 & 2

My first two log entries

Date: February 22, 2019

Start time: 14:30

End time: 16:00

Total time: 1.5 hours

Today we went over sprawls, shots, and over-unders with the kids. Most of them seemed to get it, but I feel some were too distracted by each other to pay too much attention. I wish there was an easier way to get them to focus than raising your voice. Other than the occasional distraction, I feel that today was very educational and helpful for the kids. I can't wait for the tournament tomorrow.

End time: 15:00

Total time: 6 hours

Today was incredibly exhausting. We got to the tournament in Yerington at 08:00, but the tournament didn't start until 09:00. So, to pass the time, I took the kids on the mat to warm up. We ran, stretched, and practiced moves for about half an hour. We all gathered in the gym and I gave them a pep talk. I really enjoyed the pep talk. The whole time I kept getting flashbacks to when I was in middle school, getting pep talks from my coach. It was all really surreal. So, when the tournament started, we were all pumped up and ready. They were ready to wrestle, and I was ready to coach. The first match for our team was Drake Hardcastle. He and I run to the head table together, and I look up at Coach Redwine, asking him if I can coach this one. He said I could, and it felt amazing. It was almost like an out of body experience for me. I'm so used to being on the mat, in the middle of the circle wrestling, not on the edge, yelling out moves and encouragement. Drake lost, but he walked off a winner. I got to coach a lot of matches today, but I think my favorites were when Blake wrestled. Blake reminds me so much of myself when I wrestled. Throughout the match, he would look up at me (and the other coach if there were two of us in the corner) and I/we would quickly demonstrate a move and he would hit it exactly as we had done it. Today was the best day I've had in a long while because it really shows me that what I'm doing really shows when it needs to. I can't wait for practice on Tuesday, February 26, when we go over what could have gone better today and how the kids can improve.

Haben Sie sich wirklich die Zeit genommen, dies zu übersetzen?
